Going to the grocery store with kids is never just a quick trip. It starts with good intentions. I make a list, plan meals, and tell myself we’ll be in and out. That never happens.
One kid wants snacks. Another is asking for something from every aisle we pass. Someone gets bored halfway through and starts touching everything. I’m trying to remember what I came for while also saying “no” at least a hundred times.
By the time we get to checkout, I feel like I’ve run a marathon. But somehow, we make it through. Groceries in the cart, kids still with me, and at least most of what I needed. I count that as a win.
